Dining

The island of Kaua’i is almost as famous for its tastes as for its sights. At The St. Regis Princeville Resort, we take great pleasure in combining the very best of both.

The piquant, floral zing of hand-picked mango, the crispy, peppery bite of fresh lemon grass, the delicate flavor and texture of ocean-caught Opakapaka—such are the intriguing flavors of Kaua'i and the building blocks of The St. Regis Princeville Resorts menus. Presided over by an award-winning culinary team, the kitchens of our five-star restaurants are dens of masterful culinary creativity, each featuring ingredients farmed or produced on Kaua'i to create meals of striking originality. Whether you prefer candlelit private dining or the understated elegance of five dining venues, every meal becomes a memorable occasion.  Our chefs can also prepare or heat up kosher meals; a $25 surcharge is added for this service.

Property History Overview

The Kamehameha royal family made many sojourns to the north shore of Kaua'i. In 1860, with their cherished son Albert in tow, they renamed the beloved area "the barony de Princeville," the city of the prince.

Originally opened as a Starwood Luxury Brand destination in 1985, Princeville's most beautifully situated resort completed a one-year multi-million dollar renovation and reopened on September 26, 2009 as The St. Regis Princeville Resort.

The magnificent redesign was inspired by the Hawaiian concept of the Ahupua'a, a philosophy of living in balance with nature. The grand lobby incorporates this philosophy with a dramatic point of entry enhanced by a cascading chandelier comprised of over 4,000 pieces of Murano glass representing the waterfall of Na Molokama Mountain. A coffered ceiling of natural woven raffia, palm wood floors and soaring glass panels that open to the sea and the spectacular sunsets of the landmark Mt. Makana all pay homage to the natural beauty of Kaua'i.

Transportations Overview

Most guests of The St. Regis Princeville Resort arrive at the Lihue Airport, approximately 32 miles south of Princeville and served by inter-island and major airline carriers. Transportation options from the airport include rental car services, taxi transportation and private car services. Private jet charter to the Princeville Airport is available upon request.
